Ciana, this is a great centered composition. Though, I think with a scene as breathtaking as this, placing the subject off center will allow the viewer more space to absorb the mood before being gently lead back to the subject.
Quite like the effect the hard contrast has on the colours. The white is a little blown out because of that, but the colour saturation more than makes up for it. What editing has Kay actually done for you here?

I really love this shot, but I find myself wonering how it might look in B&W. I think it would add a very classic feel to it as well as some drama!

e e cummings... I always hated the use of small letters... but fight myself over his talent. I do so love some of his work. I will not do a google... going from memory here. "A Leaf Falls", "Buffalo Bill"... and a wonderful shot.
