About This is a two minute wide open exposure @ iso800, and the sun had actually set behind me a few hours before. The backlight you see is actually the distant city of Vancouver Bc. The bright point of light below the horizon in front of the house is the trailing edge of a lighthouse beacon that was flashing ever few seconds. Man-made sunset ;)

Nice long exposure, although they become problematic after 30 seconds or so w/ DSLRs, due to the heat generated creating excess noise, esp. w/ a higher ISO speed.

I find minute plus exposures to work better with 400 speed slide film, although you can still have acceptable results with a dSLR.

Beyond the noise, this is an interesting photo with the clouds lit up, and the outline of the building.
