wow, what beautiful colors and lighting, I love the birds flying through, the reflection is really nice and add much to the scene..

Bruce Harper   {K:5305} 5/2/2006
Thanks very much Marcus, I have several shots of this scene, but I like the birds flying through too.

beautiful scene, now i see why its titled so, i don't see it in the thumbnail. what a great silhouette with awesome reflection on this very still water. You have created a very distinct mood looking at this wonderful composition. i like the way you've place the warm colored sun at the left most part of the image. Great complimentary color combination of orange and blue coming from the atmosphere, I think that is what makes this photo very powerful aside from the scene.
excellent capture! congrats!

Beautiful colors!!!!! Stunning shot!

Bruce Harper   {K:5305} 5/7/2006
I seem to be making a thing of the orange & blue colours after the redback spider one and now this one!

Bruce Harper   {K:5305} 5/7/2006
Thanks Eric, glad you liked it.

Markus Scholz   {K:22851} 5/8/2006
An impressive image and good idea to show the sunset at the very left end of the picture.

Regards, Markus

Bruce Harper   {K:5305} 5/8/2006
Thanks Markus, actually it was a sunrise (I've got to take the credit for getting up early ;)), and the brightness of the sun forced me to have it to the side to reduce its affect on the rest of the image. Thanks for stopping by.

Hugo de Wolf   {K:185017} 5/13/2006
Pure gold, Bruce! Really don't know what else to say; the intensity of the tones is spectacular, and I like the combination of silhouettes and reflection, creating a very diverse pattern in the foreground, without becoming too dominant; the subtlety of the flock of geese is even stronger as a point of attention, and I would be tempted to suggest placing the geese more to the center by cropping a bit off the right side, but that would be too much, and it's not even needed here. Spectacular image.

Cheers,

Hugo

Bruce Harper   {K:5305} 5/16/2006
Thanks very much Hugo. I see your point about cropping the right side, perhaps a square image would work too, although it would reduce the cloud lines leading the eye to the flock.
