About I've probably enjoyed this photo personally as much as any other in my folders. Don't know why. Guess I just miss those carefree younger days sometimes. This kid probably hasn't a worry in the world. Technically speaking: I realize I could crop out some of the sky to draw the viewer further into the scene here, but I just don't really want to. I seem to prefer how it balances the image. Any opinions on the sky or anything else, good or bad are always appreciated. Thanks.

Aloha 'Master' of Tropical Images,

A real quaint vertical image indeed with great color saturation as always. The composition is just fine as in a doorway to uninterruted and carefree pleasure. My only concern is that he doesn't get too much sand in his mouth because most people go snorkling behind a breakwall or in smoother waters ... Right?:))

Glad all the rain is finally over and I can get out on that new HARLEY SPORTSTER of mine! The streets of Oahu will belong to me ...

MAHALO for sharing and I see your son is doing pretty well also but at times has me wanting to call the 'Horizon Police' on him. Like father like son I guess :))

A wonderful image indeed that instantly takes me back to Kauai. Great colours and good texture of the sand. Just so inspiring:-)
Best wishes,
Annemette

Thanks for the comments on this. Good to hear from you Sunset Man. Yep things are finally drying up and looking better over here as well. A Harley sounds really good to have on the islands. Though I'd be a bit more worried since you are on Oahu. I seem to read about many accidents with all those people where you are; just be very careful. I used to ride and have lost many friends to bike accidents.

The reason our snorkeler-bud is close to the shoreline probably has something to do with the possibility of drowning. He does seem rather young here. Plus as attached, Dad is watching pretty closely by as well.

Yep, the horizon's are getting better, but still never perfect. I just scanned several for our stock deptartment, many that were originally taken when was just starting out. Almost every single one needed some heavy rotating work. It seems my right eye (one I use to shoot) is a bit off. Do they have "eye alignment" centers out there like tire alignment? Aloha.

cant go too far out...

Hi Vincent, The bold saturation and the tones are just awesome. I considered the crop you mention in your about too, but I think it's a good decision leaving it the way it is. No need to fiddle with a perfectly good shot.

Next to the snorkling kid, I think it's the curve in the surf that make this photo. Very pleasant and carefree atmosphere, which is probably even more important here. I'm always a fan of these bright, high saturated images, very good stuff and a nice presentation.

Cheers,

Hugo

Now THERE'S a photo that BEGS me to jump into!
I have only scratched the surface of your portfolio, and am just "Gobsmacked" bt the quality it oozes. I am pretty envious of your locations and being able to live in such a beautiful part of this great planet of ours.

Ty for your positive input on my photo.
