About While the argument between the flamingos continued . . . I was drawn to the feather patterns. Here is the source of the saying, "Don't get your feathers ruffled!"

Just brilliant idea Doyle to get those feathers! I'd never have seen them if I was standing there! To see such detail and colour and the little shadows- brill!

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100828} 5/1/2006
Thanks again Mary . . . don't know how much I appreciate that - I think, though, that there may be a relationship between brilliance and disturbed minds! ;D

Awesome! The light and colors are great on those feathers. Good work!

Those are fabulous feathers! Should stuff that in my pillow!

Doyle Chastian, That reply on your comment on "Loving Desire", Opps! Your actually right... I read it as Parrot... not Parrotlet.

Anyways... Good shot! : )

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100828} 5/2/2006
Thanks Laura!

Thanks,

- Great shot Jay . . . I breed and sell Pacific Parrotlets so I thought I recognized the little guy. They're great birds!

Thanks,
Doyle <-----

Nifty and pun! New words that I had to look up. You make my English vocabulary expand:-)
This is also an amazingly beautiful shot. How beautiful the feathers look when the flamingo puffs them up like that. A transvestite would be jealous:-)
Springgreetings from Annemette

- Jealous transvestites? You make me laugh . . . more likely the Flamingo would be nervous. I finally got the missus to start putting up her images too . . . addictions are best shared ;)

Hi Doyle,
Of the four in the series I especially like this one for it's unique perspective and the play of light on the feathers! The dof and color don't hurt either ;) Very, very nice!
Thanks for the visit and the comment, I appreciate it!
Take care...Robin

Excellent dof to this composition and a perfect focus on those feathers. Beautiful colours and wonderful details.....Well done to you Doyle. All the best......Ray

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100828} 5/4/2006
Thanks again Ray . . . the feathers remind me of a feather duster - They just ruffled up immediately when the argument broke out.

Hi Doyle,
This one is just a little out of the ordinary. I bet most people would have gone with the focus on the heads and missed this unusually attractive feather shot.
Well seen, and composed!
Andre

Thanks Andre . . . I appreciate the comment.

This is cute,
I like different, original photographs like this.
Looks good in this composition also!

Nice colors and work,
Lori :)

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100828} 5/12/2006
Wow, thanks Laurie! It mostly caught my eye because the feathers were all smooth until the argument flared and they then stood up like the hairs on the back of your neck would in a suspense story.

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~
