Great looking birds. I like the lines emphasising those long necks. The shot could have used a shot of saturation in post.

Good composition!Bravo

Doyle- just beautiful- the colours and light and water. Really stresses the necks where you positioned them. And to see that eye!

Zeev Scharf   {K:24824} 5/1/2006
Excellent capture, superb details of those flamingos, very nicely composed

Regards

Thanks for the comments Ron. These particular birds were quite pale . . . the color is derived from their diets. Although I did add a bit of saturation in post, I did not want the image to be inaccurate in portraying the actual scene. ;D

Thanks Mary - They're so much fun to watch too. They twist their heads upside down and scoop water into the tops of their beaks to drink!

Thank you for educating me Doyle. You did right to not add the sat.

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 5/1/2006
It's really a wierd deal Ron . . . I always pictured flamingos as looking one way . . . and then you see them from white to red . . . it throws you off!

Has no one told them not to stand in their food?

- Apparently this is where the term "Bird-brained" came from! Thanks for commenting!

Good news and great pictures. I was glad to see it's going well. I have attached the pdf Beacon file . . . as I'm running late again. I'm at work and couldn't seem to get the regular e-maill address to handle it (hence the substitute address).

Thanks,
Doyle <-----
