Some fires happen because of some interactions of garbages with the high temperatures especially in countries witch it be careless about reindustrialization process.
That's wonderful capture dear friend, great light as the expression on the man's face.
best wishes.

Laura Spell   {K:24080} 5/2/2006
Well compose journalistic photo. The fireman stands out well against the smoke.

Kelly Duntley   {K:13055} 5/2/2006
Wonderful lighting and compositon. The smoke makes this such a dramatic scene, almost surreal. Marvelous capture.

Concerning to the technical-view it is an ideal image indeed! The colours, background, perspective, environment are looking great! At the same time it is a thoughtful symbolic image which gives an option for interpretation. The definition of picture, the serious face of a fireman, the garbage, the fire and the blur background tell me about your deep mind dear friend! The garbage and the inferno! The responsibility on the shoulder of an old man! But who is really behind (responsible for) the huge rubbish and in particular the flames?
My best complement
Best wishes: Maxime

Fantastic action shot my dear friend Bobot. The details in this smoky moody shot are great and the sepia-like tones look awesome. Well done to you good friend. Sorry I am behind again....work I'm afraid!!! My very best wishes to you as always....Ray

Hugo de Wolf   {K:184670} 5/4/2006
Hi 130+a bit,

Outstanding backlit image, the pose, gesture of the fireman in combination with the rubble on the ground and the haze (I presume a combination of smoke and water spray) is just perfect; Just enough information to keep the viewers imagination on edge. Very dramatic shot, emphasised by the simplicity of the compositon and tones. IMO that's what makes this image as powerful as is. Excellent photo.

Cheers,

Hugo

Sheila Carson   {K:5924} 5/5/2006
A great capture! I love how he is silhouetted against the light background, yet you can still see and feel his exhaustion. Well done!

Bruce Harper   {K:5305} 5/5/2006
Wow, excellent job, the subtle colouring of the smoke and water with just enough light on the fireman and the rubble work very well. Congratulations.

Kabayan! Great shot, I was perusing your gallery and I'm impressed with your vision and creativity. This photo is very symbolic indeed, it does symbolize a lot about our country and I hope the fireman did "put" the fire out! Congratulations!

Well done 130 . . . and a well deserved appearance on the front page - although Maxime has the featured critique that put this picture there . . . I have to tell you that this is an award worthy journalistic photo . . . well seen, taken and presented. Very nice work.

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Ron Wilson   {K:18161} 5/11/2006
Great shot. The composition is so right. It looks like the fireman is leaning into the shot and the hose is supporting him. The spray from the hose directs our attention to the right side of the image where we try to see thru the spray and smoke. Well done. Regards Ron.

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59796} 5/11/2006
