Fascinating abstract. The warm colors and lighting give this image a soothing look.

Mary Brown   {K:68553} 5/2/2006
Very original. Not many would think to take a picture of a net. I'm so gald you did. This is quite lovley with its texture and colour. It's great when a picture shows us thte beauty in everyday things that are often just bypassed. Neat shot.

Wow! qué bonitas redes...será un abstracto... pero es un abstracto muy bello... las barcas y los aparejos de pesca me fascinan!!!. Felicitaciones...
Yo simpática o tú un fotógrafo genial??? Gracias por el halago!

Interesting. Almost looks like rusted metallic chain. Very creative abstract Steve. I like it :)

Gee you've been busy since I last wandered your portfolio. Well done and continued happy snapping!

Cheers
Rina.

Nice abstract with the colours and shapes, Steve!
Dave.

You can feel the texture of this shot, strong composition, the purple from the saturation or hue shift is my negative, the yellow or golds are much stronger, the purple makes it look a tad unreal.

Good bit of playing around...like the abstract..well done, Steve.

Thanks so much, Mary. I'm glad you like it. I have plenty of pictures of fishing nets that I haven't bombarded UF with. At least, yet.

Thanks, Larry. I see your point about the purples. I guess I think, if it's going to be unreal anyway, why stop at half measures. It's my downfall! :>)

stingRay part 2 .   {K:140071} 5/4/2006
Lovely colour tones in this shot Steve and does have a metallic mesh look about it, probably due to the rust colour on parts of the net. Well seen and taken my friend. All the best....Ray

Steve Aronoff   {K:21279} 5/4/2006
Thanks, Ray. The colors have been much manipulated.
Best,
Steve

Hi Steve,
Great idea here! The additional contrast and saturation work very well!
Well done!

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99839} 5/9/2006
Nice work Steve . . . the changes in saturation and contrast have made this image into a very good replica of what every fishing net should be . . . it has the feel of the sea and the weight of the sea. The colors have become warm, almost burnished like a chain mail, but more relaxed based on the contours which belie the metallic appearance with fabric-like folds. The whole appears wet and the warm colors are accented here and there with a purple-like hue. This is a good abstract.

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~
