About A couple leaving the sanctuary of St. Andrews chapel and venturing back into the snow.

I was struck by the contrast of light and dark stonework (same stone, different shadows) and the contrast with the dark roof overhead and the brightness of the snow through the door and between the arches. Had to move quick before the couple had gone!

Great Pic ...
I Like the B&W tones the Reflection and the prospective.
Very Good the People on the backGround

The couple at the background, that is what 'makes' the image. I like the lighting on the pillars at the right hand side and the wall behind the couple. If you had more time, you may have moved one step to the right in order to get more symetry into the image.

Hi Rick, Yeah, I can see how the stonework appealed to you, I really like this shot, the melting snow, and wet stones in the hall way allowing for the bright reflection and the hard contrast is very appealing. Excellent reaction time, and the two people in this photo are smashing, they act as a perfect eye catcher, and add to the atmosphere of the photo; rather timeless. Classic shot, and very well captured.

Cheers,

Hugo

Thanks everyone - I think I'm happier with this shot the more I look at it. Definitely a right place, right time moment.

Thank you all for you kind words :)

A lot of interesting shapes in this picture, and the couple as the focal point brings so much to the composition. Well done!

The humans, the interesting location and especially the light and reflection make a nice moody photo.

Lucky you!......You were just in time.
I agree about the marked contrast between dark and light.A very nice and well balanced composition where everything seems to be just in the best spot to make this image very attractive.
Superb toning, excellent capture.
