slightly edgy unease to the eyes that raises more questions than are answered .. great strong light has a 30's flavour to it.. great addition to your portfolio

Hi Lubi,

With your last reply in mind, I think it's much easier to assess this photo; and within the series, I think it's a very valuable addition. Quite consistent in tones, yet it displays a bit more subtlety and eloquence.

Interesting to see the differences in feel, too; In this one, there's much less connection and interaction, yet it's also very emotive, and by all means an intimate portrait.

I thnk there are quite a few specific strengths in your portaits; they all invite the viewer to fill in the blanks in interpretation, while they sketch the mood and set the theme quite powerfully. Also, the expressions are thought provoking, and again in reference to your reply, the profound and frankly intimate (I believe, or better like to believe) feel you've put in your work is exceptional, not to mention the evident quality of your photos. I really like that... Then there is the element of dynamism and motion; both in the compositions as well as in the gesture and pose; all very subtle, yet it adds tremendously to these photos.

Cheers,

hugo

I really like this portrait with the harsh contrast resembling the Film Noir of the 40s and 50s. The face of the model is also part of it...the Femme Fatale in your shot is beautiful

I've just gone through your portfolio and must say it is an excellent work. As I commented on "spoil yourself", each your photograph has a story to tell.
