About Checking into Macro work with the ubiquitous bee capture. Would appreciate any feedback about what does and does not work as macros are quite new to me. No macro lens, just a 3X Macro 58mm filter. (80mm)

This shot qualifies as a close up IMO. Macro would be more in line with the first submission. Colors, light and details are all very good.

Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment Kenneth. He looks sloppy indeed; I guess the Feliz Unger bee is at home sweeping out the hive.

Well Doyle - after having spent the last 1/2 hour or so "wandering" through your portfolio - decided to close my eyes and just pick one on which to comment. You sure have a good handle on photographing things that move and those that don't - love the lines in the Galleria and the airport shot - could do without that hairy spider but it's a great shot! Partial to florals and landscapes and a sucker for photos of baby anythings. (Where on earth did you go to get so many shots of baby exotic birds, bunnies, puppies, etc. - a pet shop?) Thanks for commenting on my photo of two daisies. Those whites are challenging - but just a hair easier than those red tones. You did a nice job with the red/pinky flowers in this shot - just a touch of burnout on a few petals - but that bee is great. Good thing he was on a mission while you were on your hunt! Jan

All four today are just fabulous work Doyle. This is my favorite, but it was a tough choice between this and the pano. The pollen on this guy is captured just beautifully. Very very good work.

Wow Jan! Thanks so much for the look-through and comment on my humble portfolio! I do not own a pet shop . . . but my wife is a BIG animal lover (like me) and having accumulated so many, I started a side-business breeding animals for pet stores wholesale . . . it ALMOST pays for their food now! She's the one you saw hand-feeding the babies. Besides, I get to take pictures so it all works out. Feel free to visit any time . . . and don't be so sure about the challenges in photographing whites . . . they're likely only a hair easier for you! Most people work VERY hard to do what seems to come natural to you.
