About This pair of swans spent most of the morning fighting but this very brief moment making up was the shot I was hoping for.

A very lucky capture and in jpeg was a little over-exposed.

Fortunately, I was also shooting in RAW and the detail within the feathers was fortunately retained.

Taken with some super friends during a photography trip to the lake district.

Super timing, well composed. The whites are as close to perfect as you can try to achieve. One of the best swan shots that we have seen on usefilm. Way to go, regards Ron.

Excellent shot! The positioning of the swans is almost perfect. :) And the dark water offset against the whiteness of the swans is very striking.

Take care, SQirl

great capture.

What a wonderful capture! The heart shape could not be posed better. Raw is a great tool for fixing exposure but it is the photographer who makes the picture. A great job and a keeper for sure. Print it and hang it on the wall. Regards, Larry

Wow and double-wow! It is gorgeous. So you can shoot jpeg and raw simultaneously with the 20D? Congrats on an incredible shot Steve.

Stephen Bowden   {K:64540} 5/6/2006
Hi Antonia,

Yes you can, I treated myself to some 2 gig Sandisk Ultra 2 cards while I was over there in February and now have tons of room to shoot even a weekends take. I have the camera set to the highest quality jpeg and raw.

I do quite a bit of work in raw as I can play about with the white balance settings after the shot is taken which can be very useful.

Steve
