What a fabulous portrait, her expression is so natural looking. Would you ever try cropping this as a square frame? I think that it would eliminate the darkness that keeps drawing my eyes to the bottom.

Steve Kompier   {K:4528} 1/31/2002
I would leave the frame as is. My eyes are drawn to her eyes and I find the dark area, balanced with her face.

Michel Bérard   {K:145} 1/31/2002
I am agree with Steve, I like the cropping and the balance betwen the black and the withe, it?s a beau tifull portrait, simple and natural, dont touch anything.

Hey Chris...I too like the expression on the girls face but I would like to see a little..not much...more of her forehead, just enough so that you would see more of her left eyebrow.

I would also like a touch more lighting on her left side to highlight her hair and bring that left eye out of the darkness..just a bit of light to give it a soft catchlight like her right eye has.

Although I dont comment on your pics often Chris I just want you to know I enjoy seeing them very much...*smile*...Maggie

This came up on the Random Images, and I'm glad it did. I really like the gesture made by the curve of light that is her sweater and edge of her chin and cheek. It reaches out over the darkness. It evokes longing. Very good photograph.

hmmm why has no one rated this? great portrait.

Stefan A. F. Kassler   {K:3727} 8/20/2003
Very nice photo and a beautiful model. Only the cropping could be a little bit above the head, so i think. Regards.
