Good shot Kamran..very well done.. I like the composition here.. You've chosen just the right shutter speed.. The water looks great. But I would have used a lower DOF so that only the first gondola would be in focus.. anyway just my idea. this shot is totally fantastic as it is..

I guess the blue sheets are tarpaulins to keep off the rain... I certainly remember the predominant colour of gondola decoration as being red. This makes for a very consistent, clearly patterned image. Excellent choice of DOF and composition. Not quite so sure about the rim of yellow across the top. The water really looks like water, which is good (and much too rare).
