Giuseppe, smart approach and well done, I would however try to square the picture to the right to get closer to narabia's style but you'll still be left with to much contrast but not so shalow and gradual dof. It's not easy, I know. Saluti, n.j

Susie OConnor   {K:34798} 5/10/2006
Very beautiful Giuseppe. The lighting and selective focus and dof give this a dreamy look. Good work!

It is strange to read your "about". I am still learning and...
Of course I am proud that found "my style" and that the others admire it.

For sure the softness and blurred, colorfull background, shallow DOF and delicaacy of petals is in my style.
Yes, this photo could be in my portfolio... but I would crop it )

Thank you Giuseppe

I am going to add some photos in your style in next day ( I took some yesterday and during last weekend).

It is good exercise to try different ways of taking photos.

Monika, I have not yet found "my style"; I am searching. You are very much ahead. You must know that I sincerly admire your works.
I am glad that you seems willing to adopte this foundling. I will try again sometimes.
The link: the first one worked well from my site but you say it does not in the others. For second I tried your: it does not work in my site (?!). Now I wrote a mix: it functions in mine but I don't know in the others. Can you try?
Thanks Monika.
Ciao,

Giuseppe

I love your new way, Giuseppe! The softness as well as the composition and colors here are gorgeous!
Excellent work and to me you did very well by keeping some empty space on the right (it's a bit too busy with the cropped version-my opinion only!)
Regards, Mireille

Giuseppe Guadagno   {K:33999} 5/14/2006
Thanks for your comment Andzrej. I agree fully with what you has written. It's really not easy to imitate Monika's pictures that we both admire.
As to the crop I was in doubt. I decided not to cut for keeping the depth and the mood created by the rose lighting coming from the "far" bottom.
I've watched many good photos in your home, quite a lot of flowers, my passion.
Thanks again.
Cheers.

Giuseppe
