The stained glass effect is certainly a great idea. This portion of the pic looks like it's from a fairy tale, hand-drawn from a dream. The shorter and straighter parts of the milkweed look further forward and slightly messy against the simple stained-glass parts. The pods, or whatever you'd call them, especially look pasted on and from a different reality. But they do also add interest...
Overall quite a captivating piece, well done :)
