Nice one!! Like the DOF, great color... the thumb looked like a selective coloring job, which would be a neat idea for this shot... makes the bright red stand out even more... good composition... well done!!

Very nice composition - but perhaps a little bit oversaturated and not as sharp as i would expect from a macro. But they are only technicla issues, tghe feeling is very, very good.

a very well composed image in which the front and back level are clearly distinguished... the bold red flower at the front is beautifully framed by the blurry branches at the back while balancing the bottom and upper half of the pic... true the details of it are not clear enough and the intense red looks almost unreal (but it is always difficult - at least for me - to capture digitally red colors... it is like the particular color invades technology and follow its own path) but i think in this way the pic conveys stronger feelings to the viewer... for me has a sense of danger and sadness at the same time... i don't know... like something from an overly dramatic novel... think it "talks" more to one's subconcious self and imagination that overpasses minor technicalities... really like it... well done Joćo...

A great pop of red against that nicely blurry background, Jo. There is one small area, just to the left of the center of the top edge that differs from the rest of the background by having brown coloration. You might want to change the hue of those browns to greens like the surrounding ones. It's a minor point in an otherwise well done picture.
