Great photo Aiman I like the relative sharpness of the cave and the softness of the 'island' in the desert outside. The minimal colour range is effective too.Looking forward to seeing some more desert shots

cool photo Aiman - and a tough shot to meter and I think you did quite well. I am wondering if just a little fill flash would have brighened up the dark fg area - just a thought????

Thank you Angelo, Tony and Dawna for your comments...

Angelo, I think what do you mean is good color, this is why I want to thank you.

Tony, I will post more and more pictures till you tell me enough... I shot around 10 roles of film in that 3 days trip... and I got some intersting results out of them... I wish that you and all the community here be there... it is a photography paradise... I think all of the talented photographers here will get even better shots.

Dawna, Thank you for your comment... appreciate your concern about the lighting. And I agree with you about the fill flash.... Actually, I shot this scene so many times... with different exposures.... where I got the inside lighter with more details.... and some times I got more details on the far mountain with all the inside in Black framing but less in the size... Walking with Canon EOS 3, with no built in flash in the desert, and trying to walk light specially while I'm climbing up mountains makes it not easy to have an external flash (actually at that time I had two 550EX down in the car :( ).... But, still may be a fill flash would have made it better.... Thank you again

Is a pic which shows how beautiful the desert can be...however I allow myself to ask you, why is it so dark inside the cave? I mean, wouldnt you think it could have been more nice with a little bit light(flash)? or did you mean this for colour gradient?-just a thought and forgive my unprofessional opinion...just an idea.
