About This Photoshop treated abstract is a bit outside what I usually do, but it appealed to me, perhaps it will to you.

It's actually a sidewalk shot of the passenger door of a black Chevy Avalanche pickup truck. In PS I copied the layer and did a Fresco treatment, followed by a motion blur. I then selectively erased and dodged the layer then added a little saturation. I liked the linear motion feel of it.

ISO 100, 1/30 f/5.6, 85mm.

I'll bet you could pretty satisfactorily capture something like this in-camera. I have some pretty long brushstrokes with only 1/20 of a second.

This one is 1/40:

The hard part is getting the motion exactly timed with the sutter pop.
