Hi Titia
As I understand You have used an digital camera. Maybe the settings on the camera was wrong when you took the photo. I dont know how your camera work but with my digitalcamera I can change the settings for to make photos in different cind of light for example indoors or outside. Anyway the composition of the photo is really good.

Excellent perspective and great croping. OK, now come to the problem, I faced similar problems before, In the high altitude with snow scenes tend to be bluish cast. (something like at sunset you get yellowish / gold cast. )To avoid this kinda situation, you can use a warming filter to compensate the blue cast.

I like the composition of the verticle. It looks best in black and white. The white balance of the camera might have gotten off.
