this is really nice, Manu! I like the high contrast in this exposure.

A great abstract Manu - clever use of the lighter coloured fish to form a diagonal leading through the dark ones into the lighter background. The red colour really accetuates the composition. Great work
Joggie
(Manu - In my opinion, good colour with the D70, as with any other camera boils down to optimal exposure of the essential elements of the photo - youv'e demovstrated that very well in your great portfolio!)

Hi Manu, it's the subdued tones (except for the red) that make this shot almost tangibly real; can smell the scents of the fish market, good close up photo referencing to the salty, wet and always somewhat gloomy and filty looking fishmarkets. Very Proficient photo.

Cheers,

Hugo

Manu, if you look carefully at your camera manual you will probably find instructions on how to eliminate Red-Eye. {g}

Joggie...you are absolutely correct...if the basics aren't correct then the rest will be useless...thanks for your constructive comment...this is what I need.

Very good Manu...I like the vertical "line" made by the lighter skins of the fish.

hi and thanks for comment on my "The cook"...she was prepping before cooking my halibut ;>...the clean dishes were already nearby

good perspective,and the darker palette with this contrast level is quite effective...kind of a memento mori of fish shot,eh?...LOL..
regards,gayle
