About Well... I have not had a camera in almost a year now. I have had the privelage of being able to barrow my mohter's once in a while.

Life has been SOOOO hectic that I haven't even had the inclination since about January to take any photos. I have barrowed my mom's camera several times, only to have given it back without have taken a single shot!

I happened to have it in my posession today when we had a hot afternoon thunderstorm which, somehow, inspired me to take some photos!

I had a really difficult time getting the camera to focus properly.... dunno if it was me, the wind or the camera itself! Either way... what you will see in the next few days as I post is a result of the happenings of today! :)

I was wondering where you were and why you hadn't posted any images. Glad to see you are back and hope all is well.

Nothing wrong with this image. I love the focus on the feather and the DOF is fantastic - drawing the viewer to the single feather.

Fantastic B & W image.

great photo, bud what about her hands dirty?

Melanie Reynolds   {K:9090} 5/19/2006
Thanks :)

He's actually a boy, my son... his hands were very dirty. I have two boys and both of them were playing out in the dirt. As much as I hate it, that's just what boys do.

.. yeah, I know! He's too pretty to be a boy ;)

She's BACK! Yipee!! ;)

I like this shot with its limited Depth of field.
Looking forward to seeing more, Mel.

I think everyone would agree-- You should really get a camera! You are really talented and should get to use your gift more often! Glenda

I like the selective focusing on the flower and it works very well in black and white. nice to see you back posting :)

Mel, it has been a long time. I too have been very busy and have not posted much. This is an excellent shot. The DOF if nice. It still amazes me how your children will pose for such wonderful shots. Great work.
