Hi Marty. This is a cool idea but she doesn't quite separate from the rest of the scene very well. And nir=ether does the gate which is an intimate part of the image. Is this shot digitally?

Hi James, thank you for your input. I agree that the shot could have been better if the gate was in front of a more plain background, unfortunately it wasn't. The shot was taken with a Maxxum Xtsi using TMax (C-41 b&w). I should mention that I am currently scanning my images in with a less than adequate flat-bed scanner until I can afford a better one so there is a considerable loss of detail in the web images.

Finally got a better scanner! :) I think the better scan helps seperate her and the gate a little bit more from the background but James your right it would be much better if the background could have been less distracting.
