Good tonal range. I think you could've created a bit more contrast between the metal face of the building and the sky. That would've made it more dramatic. Per attached.

Hi Tony, Good minimalistic image, and I like the balance in the composition. The gradient in the metal baces of the building really add to this photo, but I'm not so sure about the contrast with the sky either. It makes me think the sky is pretty much blue, with a nice saturation, making me wonder why you converted it to B&W. I think there's a distinct difference between a B&W photo and a colour version, as the B&W can only use the contrast between the tones and lighting. If, for instance you would have a copper toned face and a blue sky, the complementary tones would call for a colour photo, as the greyscales of red and blue are almost identical. I have a feeling that's the case here too, although I'm not so sure it's a copper toned building - but even with a stainless steel appearance, you would get the same thing, as the reflection of the blue sky would result in a similar effect. I presume the hue of the building vs. sky is a bit stronger in the colour version. Hope you see what I mean.

Cheers,

Hugo
