Kostas Tzanetos   {K:22122} 5/21/2006
hello sir :-)
i like most things about this portrait -lighting,pose,b/w,model,background etc- but the overall nice mood it creates in me is somehow spoiled by the rectangular vignetting you have applied. ;-)
be happy!

This certainly is a lovely, classic study. The softness of the tones in the beautifully rendered b&w is especially appropriate. I would suggest a slightly different crop. Shown here, the model is ALMOST centered in the frame, and the effect is not quite so elegant as the portrait deserves. Perhaps cropping the sides almost to the uprights of the bedstead. And--as a a very small consideration--you might want to eliminate the billow of the robe in the lower left of the picture. If you want me to post an edit to show what I am thinking, just let me know, and I will be happy to oblige. However you proceed, this is a truly a beautiful study, nicely conceived and executed.

Best of luck,
--George

emotive portrait of this young lady with great contrast, details and beautiful tones
In fact you got my vote for choosing it in order you get one of those UF virtual goodies.

Pensive, and beautiful!
Another winning shot in an already outstanding portfolio, Evangelous.

Thanks Kosta.
It was a toss-up regarding the vignetting, I can consider getting rid of it.
Vangelis.

Hi Evangelos, very introvert portrait, and frankly, quite depressing. I'm almost feeling sorry for her.... Outstanding photo.

Cheers,

Hugo

Just minor changes . . . Hope you like it.

Luke Luther   {K:14559} 5/26/2006
sizzlingly sensuous!

the light halo, the choice of light absorbing cloth, the contrasts, it all works together very well. i think the hand is misplaced. it does not fit into the image, poorly lit and out of focus. i think this will go to my favorites.

gunay kurtul   {K:59} 5/27/2006
very very good

Evangelos,
A very emotive image.Personally I would prefer to lose the overly heavy vignetting.Still a nice image
