Hi Jeanette, very good shot with the off centered composition. The electricity poles in the background add a very nice surprising element, a cool addition, adding another contrast between the subjects.
The face in the boat is a peripheral thing, I believe, but a nice touch anyway. The tones and combination of cool blue and warm yellow hues makes this image tick. Very nice indeed.

Great shot Jeanette, the colors are beautiful, and the composition really strong. I don't know if i like or not the street lamps in the background. In one hand, they add depth to the shot, but in the other, may be the break the grapic and clean composition.

not really lost my friend... the sea (or sea colors) never failed you before and they still don't do :)... the impressive mass of the boat dominates the image with its strong lines and well defined textures... still, due to its bright color, gives to the pic breathing "space"... think the off centered compo worked really well here since it adds to the image's dynamique (seems like floating on air) while adding depth in proportion to the background... personally i like the inclusion of the electricity poles as it accentuates the contradiction between tradition (boat) and civilisation (modern life in general... i mean how many of us actually find time to do things as fishing... morelikely we watch it on the tele)... all in all, a very summer image... Cyprus is trully beautifull and i am sure you enjoyed yourself :)still waiting for you to come!!!  very well done dear Jeanette...

Yes well spotted by you in the field. This image has a lovely softness to it with the soft warm white and cooler blue making a good combination.The other masts fill the space just enough to make us think what they are. Good pic Jeanette.

hi,i see a smaller face of a smiling guy left of center (as viewed) of boat partly in shadow...is that the face?...i love the deep blue with the contrasting boat color and those electrical poles in BG are a surprising element...i think there needs to be more negative space due to the size of the boat...perhaps above the boat,but just my eye.....regards,gayle
