About The second, in a series of three.

Taken in the Rouge Valley, Just east of Toronto, May 19.
The weather has been perfect around here for the growth of this type of fungus. Very photogenic stuff, expecially when wet.

Wow, so bright, so vivid colors. You find out their secret, they was hiding at their comfortable green house.
Cheers, Larissa

Thanks Larissa,
One of the great things about this forest floor is that it changes from day to day. It always stays interesting for the camera.

Hi Andre,

the green really pops into the eyes. I guess this was just your idea here =) I'm wondering if the leave in the foreground should be in the focus range or not.. I tend to opt for the first option.

best wishes,
Thilo

Hi Thilo,

I didn't really think about it too much with this one. There was another fern frond in the upper right that I hoped would also be in the frame. But that didn't work out. I was sort of hoping to frame the fungus with blurred green. It didn't exactly work out as planned, but I liked the result anyway :)

Hi Andre,

This level of saturation is very close to what I like.... Maybe even a tad too bright and colourful, but a very good shot and even better composition. Very well captured.

Cheers,

Hugo

Hi Hugo,
I agree. Those greens are really super strong. But I'm glad you liked it enough to pick it out for a comment. I liked the composition of this one too and I thought it showed well in the thumbs. This is one that I thought might get a little more attention. But no such luck :) Funny how that goes sometimes.
