About Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower,
But only so an hour,
Then leaf subsides to leaf,
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day,
Nothing gold can stay.
--Robert Frost

It looks like Luke will have a bounty of blooms soon. Good color and details in this shot of the rose bud.

Thanks, I tend to agree. I know plants are supposed to do better if you talk or sing to them . . . mine seem to do better when I DON'T talk to them! (Must not care for my odreing them to BLOOM! DO IT! DO IT NOW!! - We won't get into my singing -)
;)

Good bloom shot Doyle, good detail, color and selective focus. I like your choise for the title, and a very nice poem too.
Your reply to the comment of Laura made me smile, wonderful sense of humor, like that a lot.
Take care,

Klaas

Thanks Klaas . . . I appreciate it when my humor is appreciated.:)
---but the roses really don't care to be ordered about or yelled at (no joke)--- ;)
The title more or less wrote itself and the colors reflected the title wondefully. The poem is an old favorite; and your comment, as always, is both welcome and appreciated.

Wonderful to read a verse that goes so well with the image. And such a clear and strong image. Love to see the buds with the rich red bloom Doyle.
