This little lizard is about 3 inches long and maybe 2 inches wide. Looks a lot like your typical frog and when I first spotted him, thought it was a frog.

Had to do a bit of research to find out what he is. There are three types, the Texas Horned (apparently endangered), the Round Tail Horned and the Short Horned. I settled on the Short Horned based up various pictures and descriptions.

They generally eat ants, dwell among the brush and lay about 30 eggs in the sand in spring time. About September, they go into hibernation. I know, a lot of useless info.
