Love the composition here. Great lighting. It's a bummer she doesn't seem more thrilled with the anticipation of the prom.
Her expression is rather uninterested.
I like the framing on this as well.

for me, this shot have nothing to do with my concept of "critiquer's corner"
it's a subtle, good toned, well exposed shot of a beautiful prom's girl...nothing wrong, nothing to criticize on...
just compliments....
she would to be proud of a shot like this....

Louise I love the angle. Lighting and soft tones are beautiful. I really like the torn paper edges/border. I think it really adds to the quality of the photo and gives it that some extra that really stands out. This also seems like a new pose for prom pics and not the typical stand up and show off the dress. I love it.

I love this portrait and that it's from her prom. I don't think I know of anyone whose had a formal portrait like this taken - usually here where I live you have a photographer snap a couples picture together.
This image is just beautiful. The tones and framing are perfect. I love her expression - she seems very confident.
