Yes, very nice! I like the light to dark transition from UL to LR begnning with something that could be the sun. It's a nice crisp shot Giuseppe. Wonderful composition.

Oohh...I feel honoured..thank you :))

Arnoldas Jurgaitis   {K:-4} 5/30/2006
Impressive image. What is your opinion to crop it very slightly from the left side? Now it is on the balance, but sometimes rules have to be broken.

Arnoldas

exquisite tones. marvelous details. a delight.

Joggie van Staden   {K:41251} 5/30/2006
Beautiful light Giuseppe - My first thought was that you crop out the light in the top corner. Then I read your info - theme light and shadow. Changed my mind. Interesting composition. Well done.

I do like it Giuseppe, the lighting is wonderful and I like the contrast between the light and dark corners.
All the best my friend,

david henderson   {K:10750} 5/31/2006
....yes, I do like it Giuseppe, I'm no expert but I might have cropped it so that the 'source' of the light is not in the picture, not sure, but the simplicity, composition and overall arrangement of the shot and dof control make it very appealing....really hard to do well material, done well. cheers, david.

Gabriela Tanaka   {K:17991} 5/31/2006
Very well composed, Giuseppe! I like the way the two flowers enter the frame, so shy, as if not really daring. Lovely arched movement there. And I like the background, the "ghosts"! A well thought capture!
Best regards,
Gabriela

Marvelous image, Giuseppi and very mysterious. I can't tell if the repeating cirles in the background are lens flare or florals.

Thanks David for the kind words and the advise. I joined your idea with that of Arnoldas and tryed a variation that can be seen in my anser to Arnoldas, just here below.
I visited your home and admired plenty of excellent works hanging on the walls. The overall quality is extraordinary. In your style I love most your sensibility in the use of lights.
Thanks for the very pleasant tour in your place.
Take care.

Thanks Arnoldas. I know that "the archer" often breaks rules with very impressive effects (in the very angle, all down, the small light on the top and the small subject on the bottom ...). I tried a version following your hint and that of David Henderson who suggests to blind the source of light in the top right angle.
What do you think about?
Thanks Arnoldas. Ciao.

Giuseppe

New version

Giuseppe Guadagno   {K:33980} 6/1/2006
Joggie if you want to see the version without the light source visible look above in my attachement to Arnoldas.
What do you think about it?
Thanks. Ciao.

Giuseppe

Arnoldas Jurgaitis   {K:-4} 6/7/2006
Hello, Giuseppe,

this version looks interesting as the flowers seem a bit hiding and trying to show up in magic light. Contrast range is good enough to stay on it.
Keep shooting.
kind regards,
Arnoldas

Lori Stitt   {K:74437} 6/9/2006
VERY nice photograph. Shades and Lights, this is perfect! I do like the new version better, the eye isn't distracted with the bright spot, it just stays on the pretty flowers.

LOVE the background here,
GOOD JOB, Giuseppe
Lori :)
