About From an idea by Marlyce . . . she pointed the hose straight up and I captured the crown of the water. No PS, just framing and tipping it on it's side.

A very creative shot Doyle. I was trying to figure out how you did the design with the water until I read the about.. good idea it makes a good abstract. Nicely presented.

Torstein Thingnęs   {K:1216} 6/1/2006
Great idea! Beautiful abstract! I feel like there is some sharpness missing. But all the technical data seems good.

Kenneth C. Long, Sr.   {K:4245} 6/2/2006
Doyle, very nice I like it, well done.

Thanks Torstein . . . I appreciate the comment very much. The focal point on the moving water IS there, but where, exactly? Using a Micro-Lens (105mm; f/2.8) made for a narrow DOF and the focus is on the central column and crown, though it may appear otherwise because of the umbrella of cascading water coming back down obscuring the column going up. The crown, on the other hand, is not obscured. Thanks for taking time out to comment . . . especially critically. These are the kinds of comments that help us all to improve!
