Mark Longo   {K:12760} 6/16/2006
Another excellent shot Jose. I prefer this picture to the other very similar picture you have uploaded for a few reasons. This shot includes people, and we suppose that these people are working on the car. Just seeing these folks makes the car appear to be a vehicle that is well taken care of. It is a working car, still in service. Without the people, a quick look makes one think the car might be abandoned, no longer in service and being used for parts. It is a subtle but important aspect of this shot that the people are seen. These old cars are still useful and a part of daily life today in Cuba. This is part of the unique and charming character of Cuba and the people in this shot help to show us all that.

In addition, this shot is taken from a slightly different angle than the other, which is somehow more appealing to my eye, though I can't say exactly why. In any case, a very fine job of photography here!

Regards,
Mark

Michael Mellen   {K:10589} 6/22/2006
Great shot Jose! I've always been fascinated with Cuba, and thier way of life. I have always been impressed with all the old cars well kept since thier revolution. They know how to fabricate parts that they need to make it work. I really admire them and thier spirit.

Great composition and I like how this image tells that very story. Love that caddy!!!!

Many compliments and thank you for looking at my portfolio. .... Mike

Amazing Nacho. You certainly see a lot of interesting sites. I cant see the modern cars lasting as long as these old classics in Cuba. Love it. Cheers Keith
