About A nice day for a walk. Used a polarization filter and balanced the light somewhat in the Gimp.

What is "the gimp"?

A program alike photoshop and paintshop/pro. But it runs under linux and it's open source. For working on images like 99% of those on this site it a lot cheaper than PS and a lot better than PS/Pro. All imho ofcourse..;-)

Hi Gerhard,

Good job in (re) creating the crisp, lush spring feel, the colours are very well saturaterd. Also, the main area, taken up by the sky works well; the way spring and early summer should've been...:)

The two red roofs make for a classic type of composition, but I wonder if placing them more to either side would've made the composition a bit stronger. Just a thought, no biggy.

Very pleasant view; I've had this image open since you uploaded it, looking at it from time to time, only now finding the moment to comment on it (not much to critique, a fine image by all means)

Cheers,

Hugo

And for some photo's just being pleasant to look at is more than enough..;-) No pretensions, just a sunny landscape..

Thanks..
