Shot at Newborough beach, Anglesey, Wales. Used a polarising filter for the clouds and some light editing for the sand.

I think this is a really beautiful shot! It looks a tad sharp, but sometimes that happens during upload.
I know in photography we are supposed to go by the "rule of thirds", but somehow the way this is more centered really works for me! I like being able to see the wet sand reflecting the clouds as well as the rich blue sky, almost like a natural gradient. I wouldn't want to crop out either part and I think this image is well balanced and wouldn't be the same if you did go by the rule of thirds.
Nice work!

Many thanks for your comment on my "Little Prince" - not a typical shot for me, but I'll try anything! And at the end of the day, it's encouraging comments like yours that push me forwards.
This is a lovely shot. What strikes me most is the BIG clouds and the small mountains... Can't quite get the balance of it as it's too big to fit on my screen, but I suspect I might have considered cutting a little of the sky. Shame I know, but I just feel it doesn't add to the image.
I'm adding you to my list of Associates. Two reasons: I like your work and your images will keep me in touch with my roots!
Oh, and I also assume that it gives me the right to say what I really think...
