Wonderful composition Melanie! Gentle toning and softness perfect here and brilliantly composed with pathway leading up from foreground to exit at upper right. I don't see how you could have done any better with this. Lovely couple :)

very sad words from your man.. I think that what you are doing now with your photos is a great thing: your son gonna really love have this kind of souvenirs of his youthness.. The photo are one of most poetic souvenir that exist, more than video or simple words...
And so go on like this, and don't fell down, maybe your man are only gelaous 'cause you don't take portrait of him... ;-)

LOL Giulio!! I agree with you 100% about the photos!
I would love to take my husband's portrait, he is VERY handsome! He never lets me, though!
He recently started his own business doing steel frame houses and buidings. He started up a job fairly close by and he is going to need photos of the work. I am thinking this will be my opportunity to steel some photos of him. Maybe for the new project )

Excellent composition with your son and the little girl at the top portion of the photo and the road in the foreground.
Great sephia tone and the softening of the image looks great - especially with the dryness of the area around them.
