Strong colours and beautifull composition. Excellent work!

Very strong colors and composition, but the shadows are blocked up. Can you get some less harsh dark areas if you tweak it?

Nice scenery and nice light... but I feel that the image is a little over processed, resulting in a loss of texture detail and sharpness in the sand and cliffs. I also feel that contrast/brightness and saturation are cranked up a little too high making it a little too vivid for my personal taste...

Hugo de Wolf   {K:185017} 6/7/2006
Hi Amit, good photo, but it does seem a bit over saturised; by increasing the red levels, I get a feeling you're loosing a bit of the details and subtleties in the monuments / needles in the back.

Well composed photo, with a very good use of the lines to create a feeling of distance and perspective.

Good photo, only a bit rough on the saturation, IMO.

Cheers,

Hugo

maybe a little bit to much contrast, but great composition.

Thanks for your critique Hugo. I do agree on the loss of detail on the totem poles...but it looks fine in PS...guess lost some detail during downsizing...I will try to post another version with a tad decreased saturation as well. Thanks again.

Thanks Miles. I do agree with your critique. I think downsizing made me lose some detail. I will post another reworked version without the velvia processing as well. Cheers.

A superb composition. Your use of the ripples in the sand to lead the observer's eye to the rock formations is an extremely effective way to focus attention. You have captured the land of my family in a most reverent fashion.
