A big WELCOME BACK to my dear friend Mohsen. I am delighted that you have come back to us after such a long absence. I too have been absent for a while on my holiday as you perhaps know, so I am attempting to 'see' all my friends on a quick visit each.

I love this mono toned shot, it is so dramatic in it's portrayal. I love the glint of light caught on the sliver of the lip and the details revealed in the skin of the hand and fingers. Well done to you my good friend and once again, welcome back. I look forward to seeing much more of your wonderful creativity. My very best wishes to you as always Mohsen.......Ray

Kiarang Alaei   {K:48552} 6/8/2006
Well, a very personal and creative work which showes your deep thought and philasophic look dear Mr.bayramnejad.
hard light and high contrast have selected very very well and useful in this shot, the Ring(!) i haven't any idea or feeling about it.
nice done.
suggest: put this image in the Arnold newman project!

Mohsen Bayramnejad   {K:21767} 6/8/2006
*Many thanks dear Mr.alaei for your nice words and really glad you coming back to my page!
I'm agree with you about The Ring(!!)and it's a little distracting on the photo..but i just think about it as a form,i mean it's one of the important THING's on this shot that created my formation photograph...
and about the Project, many thanks for your suggestion; but i think alot about it and decided to put it in the P#43..anyway...i really loved newman's works as everybody(Photographers) but i think my poor shot(!)is a little different between his "photography career" .
Thanks again for your comment!

Dr. Rafael Springmann   {K:86479} 9/4/2006
There's a very strong expression of intense emotion (sadness? despair?) in this very strong photo, my dear friend. The choice of b&w & the very close quasi crop effect intensify this impression.
Thank you for your comment. As I wrote to Hanna, there are two reasons I left the date on my photo. One is that it partly overlaps some elements & would be very hard to remove selectively & two: the date indicates that the photo was taken a long time ago & that has a sentimental meaning for me.
I conveyed your greetings to Rachel & she thanks you.
Best regards, Mohsen,
Rafi

Mohsen Bayramnejad   {K:21767} 9/4/2006
*Many thanks dear Dr.Rafi for your fine comment & reply.

and, Never mind my dear, I just said that the date on your photograph, just a little distract me, because of the feelings inside on the photo. I meant we have to look at the photograph with concentration, to get those feelings clearly. I'm not sure how to say, but I hope you get what I meant!

anyway, thanks again for your nice words, Dear Dr.Rafi! Take care.

Albert Jacobs   {K:9429} 9/7/2006
Hi Mohsen,

No doubt, it is real and very original.

An excellent result of a creative approach of portrait or in this case more... photoart.

Since photography excists there discussion about the results. Can it be regarded as Art or not.
To my point of view, in general yes, but it depends of the concrete image if this qualification can be justified.

In this image IMHO the answer is: yes this is Art.

Of course, there may be discussion of possible improvements, but that is also possible at paintings and sculptures (for example).

Go on, Mohsen, with this beautiful and strong impressive work.

Greetz,
Albert

Mohsen Bayramnejad   {K:21767} 9/8/2006
*Oh my hamble thanks dear Albert..
really glad you do like my work.
But I think the photography is both and "art" and "science". when I think about forepast, I can feel, love and dial with both of "pictorialist" and "naturalist" photographers..as you know, both of them look for the photos as a Art, a pure mode of aesthetic art.
but I also do dial with "practical photographers". they also look for photos as an art, somehow, but actually they think that the photograph is very best tool to Practical uses. remember "Eadweard Muybridge" and his works...
By the way..
I thank you again dear Albert for your kind words.
Cheers,

WAEL HAMDAN   {K:7476} 10/31/2006

regards
wael
