hi,the techs are all good and must have been some even shade light to get this even exposure...most of all i am drawn to the delicate simple scene that i often enjoy when i am either in my overgrown backyard,or out in the forest...wildflowers,tall verdant grasses and rich textures of bark complement one another so well and remind me of my little girl fantasy of fairies and gnomes running about ;>

I knew this was going to be a pretty good shot when I took it. Sometimes you just have that instinct that everything is right with the image. That's how I felt when I took this one. I used only the slightest bit of manipulation and a touch of cropping. but other than that, it is straight from the xd card.
I figured it was time to get a little lighter in my images again for a change :)

I wanted to do something a little more on the lighter side for a change. I thought this scene was perfect for a change in mood. I still have some old decaying wood... but what a nice contrast having those flowers in there too! I'm pretty pleased with this one.

When I sat down to prepare this one, I had thought about trying to do it as a kind of fantasy/fairyland type image. I chose to post it straight in the end because I felt it had a lot of charm just the way it is. This is a great time of year for getting some of those woodsy fairyland images for possible future projects. I know I will get around to doing some like that soon.

(technical or not in the mood) However, if it is because you are not in the mood to shoot and post, maybe viewing some of your old friend's shots will put you back in the right frame of mind :)
You have a great summer too. Big weekend, this weekend World Cup, French Open Tennis, and The British Grand prix. Too much good stuff to watch and not enough time. :)

Leave it to you to pick out another hidden spirit in one of my trees :)) I had noticed the eyes...sort of, but now I see the rest of the face too. You receive a virtual prize for noticing this first. Once again, when you know it is there, it's hard to stop yourself from seeing it.

A very beautiful light woodland scene Andre. The textures and details in that grand old tree are wonderful and those two-toned wild flowers look beautiful in their cluster around the tree.
