Hi there Rob.....long time no see.

This is very beautiful work my friend and you are right the lighting has a magical 'feel' to it. It is a light brought on by the conflict in the sky between the blue patches and the sun trapped behind those very threatening moody dark clouds. It is a scene I am familiar with in the UK and when it occurs the day can bounce either way weather-wise. Wonderful details in this delightful composition. I hope you are well and it is good to be in touch again.. My very best wishes to you......Ray

Wonderful Rob! Why P mode though? Would have been even better if u used a higher aperture.

Hi Rob I really like the mix of light between the clouds and the land. It does seem to have a slight dark halo around the edge of the mountains/trees which I've experienced myself when trying to expose for the sky and the land and then blending them. Still it works really well mate, well done.

Love the way the hill meets the field. Nice summer warm colour and amazing clouds.

Thanks Howie... :) I am really trying to see where the "Halo" effect is...I am missing it. I not sure how you could show me...kind of hard to do that via the internet. :) thanks!

The tone and lighting of this is marvelous. I love the shadow of the clouds on the top of the hills. The shape of the clouds and their contrasting bright/dark areas are so intriguing. Your perspecive for this shot is magical.
