Hi Andrzej,
This "guy" was probably on his way to lay some eggs. They often travel a long way from the water to lay their eggs and very few little ones make it back to the water. Amazing how small the babies are when they hatch. We have some huge ones of these up at the cottage. They have to be one of the closest things to dinosaurs in North America.
Beautiful shot with the new S3 You are getting some great detail, as I would expect. From now on, with that camera, you have no excuses at all :)
