Wow Jeanette!
This is a world class photo! Very nicely done. The eyes are bit soft, however, the overall composition is so stunning, that you don't need the eyes to pull you away from the overall feeling of the image.
The b/w is one of your best! The perfect falloff of the jacket, and skin tones are so well held together with the slightly lit backdrop.
Very well done!

Hi Danny - this is a real B&W  No conversion. I still use Tmax when i feel for it but never do more then develope the film. Afterwards i scan.

intimate and confronting portrait... despite the difficulty of shooting black against black you manage to pull out the tones correctly... still what i like most is how the violin is semi apparent in your composition... it does indeed make it into the pic but still its presence is subtle... just like its music... makes the whole presentation more interesting along with his relaxed expression... congrats dear Jeanette... a well deserved recognition of your work...

Thanks Thilo! I have a large serie of this player and his violin. most of them is unusual and wierd and therefore i only choosed two of them. Yes, portraits has always been an important genre for me. Thanks for your comment and thought :)
