Humberto Ruiz   {K:763} 6/19/2006
wow! i like this shot. the black and white really gives it an artistic view. i would leave it black and white.

Riny Koopman   {K:59819} 6/19/2006

Robert Kocs   {K:89061} 6/19/2006
What an adorable little guy, great kid portrait shot.
Love the great details and fine tonal range. I prefer
the b&w version. More sense, more softness including
this image. The colourwashed one too colourful, it
has to need more wash. See the attachement my version.
I hope you like it.

Have a nice day dear Susie!
Robert

Desaturated version

Beautifully taken composition my dear Susie and both versions look great. My preference is for the mono toned conversion it really does suit this lovely subject the best. I normally prefer colour photography to conversions but as in the case of Kathy's triptych the monotones work with greater effect. I love that gentle soft hint of a smile and those lovely dark eyes. He has arranged himself into an adorable relaxed pose, albeit unknowingly, and could be a natural model as he grows older. Well done to you sweetie, great work. All my very best wishes to you as always.....Ray

hi and thanks for early birthday wishes on Marcia's image for me! A UF friend is flying out to Seattle and so i will celebrate up there this year...am so excited because forecast shows SUNNY and 68F!!!...

This is truly one of your top 3 of child portraits IMO...am impressed with the B/W points
and the stellar clarity,Susie...your nephew exudes personality and is a cute patootie!
regards,gayle

Susie OConnor   {K:34798} 6/19/2006
Wow thanks Gayle! You are always so supportive.
How fun, a UF friend coming to visit? I've always thought it would be a blast to have a gathering somewhere and get to know these photography nuts! )
Have a great time and again, Happy Birthday to YOU!
Susie

Kathy Hillard   {K:25721} 6/19/2006
This is PRECIOUS, Sissy! GREAT job...eye focus spot on! I love the b&w and I think I prefer that one, but the color wash is good too, and I think it might grow on me. But for now it's the b&w...which seems to be the consensus. Jeff and Shara should love this one!
Kathy

Don Loseke   {K:32503} 6/19/2006
I think it works well either way. The color is interesting, might try and cut the contrast a little on it. I don't know how it is done but you should be able to fade it a bit. Don.

Don Loseke   {K:32503} 6/19/2006
I thought about this some more and I think the eyes needed a little work. Don't know if you will like this or not. Don.

Rina     {K:26519} 6/20/2006
Haha! What a little cutie! I quite like both versions actually, and can understand your struggle to choose between them. Either one is going to look fabulous on a wall! So well done Susie :)

Cheers
Rina.

Susie OConnor   {K:34798} 6/20/2006
I always appreciate your input Don. On my monitor the eyes after you sharpened them are pretty harsh and unnatural looking. Thanks for taking the time to critique it though. )
Susie

Don Loseke   {K:32503} 6/20/2006
Yes Susie, If you work on the original you can do much better work. Mostly just lighten them a little would be best. Don.

Sergio  Cárdenas   {K:24807} 6/20/2006
