Paolo De Maio   {K:34788} 6/19/2006
really a brilliant work jaenette.
Its remembers me a Alinari's shot in Florence of the past century but this one is reworked by using a modern key is surely amazing.
Great B/W and grey tonal nuances.
Well done
Paolo

Jeanette:

Hadn't seen this one before, but I like it because it blends your architectural minimalism with your dramatic B+W portrait work. I think it is a good combination of two different skill sets brought together for a wonderful photograph.

Also nice to see how your style has evolved over time.

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59855} 6/19/2006
Thanks for evolve over time ;) Also me thought about it and therefore i showed both old a new portraits now. I have MANY ideas for coming portraits....but they need some work outside and has to be windy or i need to use a wind machine ;))
Jeanette

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59855} 6/19/2006

Jeanette

Aram Gharib   {K:4342} 6/19/2006
A very nice "to-no-where" spiral.

Bijan Jalali (iranian poet) writes:

"I have turned the engine off
The train has stopped
And I have been watching
The surrounding landscapes
For long moments already."

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59855} 6/19/2006
Next time i will go up there my self and think of the poem. I think i have to look for that poet, i know there are MANY great iranian poets!

Jeanette

Toshi    {K:11924} 6/20/2006
Wonderful angle of view to this portrait capture. The spiraling staircase adds another dimension to this shot and the whole photo is very well composed and balanced. B&W is a great choice - nice work.

Alicia Popp   {K:87331} 6/20/2006
Qué buena toma... la espiral da dinamismo a la imagen... felicitaciones!!!

Lubi Star   {K:3903} 6/20/2006
A beautiful mingling of abstract architecture and straightforward portraiture… The ladder seems almost graphic as it spirals upward while the person has an air of confidence… could have been in a magazine cover… b/w certainly fits the concept...Very well done my friend…
Lubi

Manu     {K:13082} 6/20/2006

It was a great light, warm colours and therefore i choosed to convert it to b&w here. Works in colour too, but the stairs are so good in b/w...
Jeanette

Hello Jeannette! The B&W tone works very with this image! The spiral stairs and the platform above is very well composed! The confident posture of the man seems to say I am the boss around here (and my photographer is awesome)
