Thank you Glenda. I was worried it looked a little too dark but looking back on the older photos this looks better. Thanks for pointing that out.

Sadly Kay he did not show up. I felt a little guilty taking this he was so sad. I drove him down to his grandparents the next day to cheer him up.

Karen,
I was just reading your comments on this one and you mention that you thought it might be too dark. I would just like to say that it is fine! The skin tones are very good and you have a nice balance in your grey tones. The light might be just a little bright coming through the window, but even that is okay for the situation. The texture in the boy's shirt is fantastic. The detail in the chair, table and his hair are all very good.
If you are planning to do a lot more B&W you could do a lot worse than use this image for a reference for yourself.
