About His Sister was walking behind, hugging him because she was sad. I have cropped a LOT out of this image, desaturated and gaussian blurred the left and right edges at 50. I then sharpened the central part slightly and added a border.

Great shot, Mervo! Stunning in its simplicity. I like the crop and border, too.

Very cool. Could see this on a wall framed. love the cropping - adds interest as to what might be.

A wonderful simplistic study with a great deal of thought put into it's final preparation for posting. An excellent bold crop to this picture story, albeit aided with your 'about'. The path, I hope, was going to lead his sister to some happiness and that the source of the saddness lay behind them. Well done to you Mervo, great observational shot to begin with and then the thoughtful postwork.

It's great to see another post from you and I do so hope that everything is OK in your life. My very best wishes to you as always.....Ray

Hi Mervo,
Very nice image, full of emotion! I like all the post work you've done except one thing.
I'm going against the grain in the comments and putting a vote against the crop. I know it was done intentionally. It's just that I have a feeling that the pose of the boy and girl would lend itself better to him being full in the frame. His head and arms hung down the way they are just cry out for the top of his head and feet to be in the shot.

Just my opinion and trying to be honest. I know you don't mind when people give a different take on an image.
