Paul, as I'm sure you can tell I did some editing to lighten the photo up. Not that it really needed it, but I just like the soft tone sometimes... but we were also playing with my reflector since it was mid-afternoon. I think that might be what you are seeing!

Yes, Melanie, that's a very good use of fill light from your reflector to chase away those harsh mid-day shadows.
