About Leaving the Universal City Tour, Marlyce paused to photograph the plaque at the base of a three person bronze statue - Nobody with a camera could resist this shot . . . so I took it!

It's brilliant getting these images that you are not going to see everyday. Put a camera in his hand and it looks like he is taking a picture of that woman! Is this Marlyce he is after?!

Rashed Abdulla   {K:154905} 6/26/2006
very great capture, wonderful details, colors and composition, all of the best my friend

Marcus Armani   {K:35777} 6/26/2006
Wow i can see why you took it, It really makes a dramatic looking scene, he does look just like he is mesuring her up for a shoot of his own! The perspective is nice, very nice lighting and detail with just enough background blur to not be a distraction.......

Susie OConnor   {K:34798} 6/27/2006
Looks like this guy is sizing up Marlyce for an upcoming role! Nicely done candid Doyle. Cute!

Yes, Marlyce (with her new pink cap) was getting a shot of the plaque when I saw the overall statues as the bronze director is framing a scene. Between them are the bronze legs of the lady holding a boom mike and the three bronze bars to the right side hold a bronzed cameraman on a lift.

I love these candid shots of photographers who have just been caught. Marlyce is just so oblivious of your activities my friend, Your dear wife has taken a shot of the statue and this interests me, so I'll dive off for a peep. Well done Doyle great shooting on what looks to have been a fun filled adventure at Universal. Cheers to you my friend....Ray

Robin Wickenkamp   {K:16448} 6/27/2006

Loved it . . . had to tippee-toe back and left to get the angle but it was worth it (and she was busy with her own shot and oblivious to what I was up to)! Thanks for commenting!

Kathy Hillard   {K:25721} 6/28/2006
You and Marlyce must have a great time with your cameras, Doyle! My husband finds shots for me and is my "chaffeur." This is a cool shot. I like the dof.

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 6/28/2006
Thanks for the comment Larry . . . you have to have a girl with a pink ball cap to really get this shot! :)

Doyle I <~~~~~

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 6/28/2006
Ningún Juan, te no confunden. ¡El Marlyce encantador (mi esposa) es el que está con el casquillo y ella rosados está tomando una foto de la placa en la entrada!

Respeto,
Doyle I <~~~~~

No John, you're not mistaken. The lovely Marlyce (my wife) is the one with the pink cap and she's taking a photo of the plaque at the entrance!

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 6/28/2006
Well thanks Gayle . . . I can't tell you how much fun photography is for me (us)! I think the Missus has been bitten by the bug bad . . . bought several filters for her yesterday . . . and now she carries her camera everywhere . . . yesterday complaining that the stupid GY Blimp wouldn't slow down their landing until we had a good shot! :)

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 6/28/2006
Marlyce USED to do that for me . . . now I'm better off finding my own shots because a good one will be taken by the 'finder'! We have a complete blast!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 6/28/2006
Thanks Jessie . . . you can appreciate why I couldn't pass this up! My instinct was to focus on her (like an idiot) but I realized quickly the DOF would kill the statue and ruin the shot. Sometimes you just gotta' think fast . . . timing is everything. Luckily, my innate sense of genius (referred to by others as common sense) came to the rescue and I composed it properly. Good fun!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Oh, Doyle, what a great image! Fantastic comp! Well spotted and captured!

Cheers

Phil

PS Mate, you are going to think I'm a bit mad!!! I have now deleted two versions of 'The Piano Teacher'. I just could not seem to get them right!! I'm still unsure about the third version! LOL I know, yes, I think I have lost it! LOL

I have uploaded the third version. It can be viewed here: http://www.usefilm.com/image/1137263.html

This one's the last. It is staying up, whether people like it or not! LOL

Doyle, once again, thanks for all your comments, support and friendship!

What a captivating image. I find it really interesting how some people manage to create implied action from innaminate objects. Way to go.

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 7/13/2006
Thanks Dave . . . but my wife is not an inanimate object! Oh . . . I bet you meant the statue! Never mind then . . . and THANKS!
