Well captured, beautifully framed in the shot. Little nose, little fingers, little whiskers-so sweet. Love the eye. Cathy

Thanks Susie, I have plenty of opportunity to get those squirrel images perfected :) I keep feeding them and they keep coming back looking for more. I like this kind of animal shot when the DOF comes out like this. Andre

Great shot Andre, wonderful clarity on this one. The bokeh looks really nice and helps the squirrel pop out. Very nice work.

Nice one Andre. Love what the dof has done to the background here, and what an adorable little creature with his cute wittle paws and fluffy tail. What self-respecting photog would miss an op like this, eh? Yes, would also be high up on my "swerve to avoid" list too.

An excellent capture my dear friend with wonderful clarity of the incredible details. The pose here is a perfect payment for the food you kindly leave out for them Andre. A perfect dof and lovely tones to the fur. Well done to you. I am on my usual weekly catch-up following work. My very best wishes to you as always.....Ray

Hi Andre, it looks like it is deep in thought...or getting ready to throw you a hard right! HA!
Your lighting is spot-on and the wide aperture left those wonderful little background bubbles. Well taken!

Thanks Marcus, They have quite a range in colourfulness here. Some are pretty dull. I think the little males are about the most colourful. They come in a real nice Auburn colour a lot of the time. Andre

Hi Marcus, I'm just doing a bit of catch up after being away for a few days. That little owl on the railway tracks is definitely getting some deserved attention! We went to the cottage for a few days. Saw a lot of birds you would have enjoyed shooting. There are a lot of Ospreys around right now! They seem to be carrying fish all over the place. Maybe that is why we have been seeing Bald Eagles recently in the area. I hear that Eagles quite often steal fish from Ospreys. Unfortunately I haven't got any images of either the Eagle or the Ospreys. Maybe next week? Andre

I was visiting your gallery, and this one lovely creature attracted my attention. You put very right title - trully an overdose of cute.
I assume they (squirrels) are living somewhere near your house. And I can imagine how much you enjoy by watching the behaving of these lovely creatures.
Have a good shooting, dear Andre.
Kind regards, Virgis

Thanks Virgis, I feel it is almost like cheating when I post a shot of one of these guys. You just can't take a bad picture of one. There are always a couple of families of these guys living close by. Although they are small and cute to us humans. They are extremely aggressive when it comes to protecting their territory from the larger Grey Squirrels. It's a lot of fun watching these guys. Last year, I even got close enough to some baby Red Squirrels to use the Macro setting on the camera. They were not old enough to be afraid of me yet. Andre
