Lovely colours, good exposure. Its a bit difficult to gauge the size of this structure, but I gather it's pretty big. Cathy

Very nice David I love the shadows of the clouds do you shoot some of this area using early morning light. Utah has some spectacular landscape material. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Cathy. It is indeed massive. If you look close at the bottom center, there is a full-size tree peeking out of an Arroyo (or small canyon of sorts). And that tree was fairly close in to me. The bluff itself was probably 1/2 mile away(?)

Best wishes,
Dave

Thanks, Lynne. To answer your question, I don't do morning very well. I'm a nocturn (is that a word?). Anyway, this is shot in evening light.

I've only been to this area of Utah twice while making a round trip further north. But it is spectacular and having just moved to NM, I'm planning on seeing more of this area.

Best wishes,
Dave

Dave, wow that's big! I haven't seen anything that size in Australia yet (Hoping to visit Uluru later this year.) I don't know if it compares in size at all. You have taught me that when I photograph it I will have to make sure I capture some trees too for scale. Cathy

Nice time of day for this one Dave.
Love the red/gold tones, (now you need a polarizer) that would be super dramatic.

Great composition.

Very pretty Dave! You managed to get lots of details, and aren't you glad for those puffy clouds?
